Washington Nationals Make It Miller Time in Their Inaugural Year

Team Signs Three-Year Partnership With Miller Brewing Company

WASHINGTON, DC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 1, 2005 -- Miller Brewing Company announced today a historic new sponsorship deal with the Washington Nationals that will span three years. The pact gives Miller the exclusive right in the beer category to conduct promotions around Opening Day festivities on April 14. That includes access to the Miller Lite "Beer Pen" at RFK on Opening Night, as well as every Friday home game throughout the team's inaugural season.

The new partnership with the Nationals also gives Miller rights to the team's logo for advertising, point-of-sale and on-premise materials usage. In addition, the Miller Lite logo will be included in concourse and rotational signage within the stadium, and featured exclusively on the playing field rain tarps.

The relationship with the Nationals will also include other marketing initiatives that offers Miller the opportunity to interact with and enhance the game experience of legal drinking age consumers. During the season, Miller will execute promotions in Washington D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia, offering beer drinkers the opportunity to win tickets to the Miller Lite Beer Pen.

"Miller is thrilled to be part of the Washington Nationals family, especially during this inaugural season in D.C.," said Jeffrey Burrill, Marketing Manager at Miller Brewing Company. "We are excited about what this agreement offers Miller and are confident that the team will deliver their fans the highest quality product on the field from the first pitch on, just as Miller delivers the highest quality products to beer drinkers."

In addition to the partnership with the Washington Nationals, Miller Brewing Company is also the official sponsor of the Baltimore Ravens and the Official Concert Presenter of MCI Center.
