Washington Vein Yields Additional High-Grade Gold Intersections for Bullion River Gold Corp.'s French Gulch Project

RENO, NEVADA--(CCNMatthews - May 12, 2005) - Bullion River Gold Corp. (OTCBB:BLRV): Bullion River Gold is pleased to announce assay results of six additional underground drill holes across the Washington vein at its French Gulch mine near Redding, California. Results for the six holes (RBU-22 through RBU-27; Table 1) include: 0.692 opt Au over 9.8 feet containing 4.196 opt Au over 1.5 feet in RBU-23; 0.236 opt Au over 8.2 feet containing 1.25 opt Au over 1.3 feet in RBU-24; and 0.922 opt Au over 2.5 feet in hole RBU-26.

The program has completed 17,500 feet of core drilling in 35 holes, with assays received through hole 27. Holes 1 through 16 crossed the west part of the Lucky-7 vein in the Washington mine, and holes 17 through 32 crossed the west part of the Washington vein about 400 feet north of the Lucky-7. Drilling is currently completing testing of the eastern part of the Lucky-7 vein (holes 33 to 35). Drill holes are collared in a drill station along a historic tunnel in the Washington mine (Figure 1).

The new assay and logging results for holes 22 through 27 continue to be strong. Visible gold and high grades continue to be intersected in most drill holes, and have been intersected to the maximum depth tested - about 275 feet below previously-mined levels on the Washington vein. Analysis indicates that the two holes which returned weak results (RBU-25 and 27) may have failed to reach the veins intersected in the other holes. Results in Table 1 are in-hole core lengths; true widths of mineralization are narrower. Preliminary analysis indicates that true widths on the 16 Lucky-7 holes average about 40% of drilled length, with the Washington holes averaging about 68%. The true widths of the 9.8-foot and 8.2-foot intersections in holes RBU-23 and 24 are about 8.3 feet and 5.3 feet, respectively. Assays have been performed by BSi Inspectorate and ALS Chemex using metallic screen procedures. Bullion River Gold employs a rigorous quality control program audited by SRK Consulting.

Bullion River Gold's Vice President of Exploration, Dr. Jacob Margolis, notes, "We are on track in our closely-spaced drilling program to define an initial resource in the Washington mine area - and this is only a very small portion of the project. I am excited that multiple high-grade veins are being intersected, and we continue in our effort to understand the complex geology of the area." Dr. Margolis went on to note, "We have initiated a more rigorous district-scale exploration effort that will begin with the Niagara mine area, about 4000 feet west of the Washington mine. The Niagara holds promise as well. Mineralization remains open below historic workings, where continuous high-grade mineralization was mined from surface to a depth of about 500 feet; a large portion of this mined zone averaged 2.4 opt Au. A historic exploration tunnel 500 feet below the deepest levels mined crosses multiple veins with visible gold, and we are planning to access this level soon."
