Waterford Technologies Celebrates 600 MailMeter Customers With a New MailMeter 4.0 Release That Offers Over 100 Enhancements

IRVINE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 21, 2007 -- Waterford Technologies, the leading provider of second-generation, intelligent e-mail archiving solutions, announced that MailMeter has passed the 600 customer installations mark. This coincides with a new MailMeter 4.0 release containing over 100 enhancements and performance improvements. MailMeter provides a comprehensive solution for E-mail Archiving, Compliance, Legal e-Discovery, Storage Management, and Reporting for organizations using Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, or Ipswitch IMail.

"Our business is growing almost 300% over last year," says Brendan Nolan, CEO of Waterford Technologies. "More organizations are finally realizing that e-mail is an important source of information and are taking actions to preserve e-mail records. We have customers in every industry -- manufacturing, service, banking, government, legal firms, sport teams, charities, etc. from 50 to over 20,000 mailboxes. When they see a demo of MailMeter and realize how affordable it is and how easy it is to install, they want it right away."

"The changes in the Federal Rules for Civil Procedures in the US now make it mandatory that e-mail be collected and easily accessible for use in e-Discovery actions. Every day the news is filled with legal actions, fines, and court decisions based on e-mail evidence. Our MailMeter Investigate customers tell us that the first time that they use it to quickly search e-mail records and export the results to a PST, they gain their MailMeter investment back in legal fee savings. No organization can afford to be without MailMeter."

"MailMeter 4.0 sets a new standard for efficient e-mail management," says Tom Politowski, President of Waterford Technologies. "No other product can match it for ease of use, searching, and reporting capabilities. This release offers a large number of new features that our customers asked for and lays the foundation for new levels of performance and scalability."

MailMeter 4.0 improvements include Active Directory integration for MailMeter ISR (Individual Search and Retrieval) and MailMeter Investigate, the e-discovery tool. MailMeter Storage Management for Exchange and Domino includes more granular rules for replacing attachments with links to the attachments stored in the Archive Volumes. "On the average, our MailMeter Storage Management customers are saving nearly 80% of their total e-mail server storage," continued Politowski. "There's also a new look and feel to the MailMeter interfaces with graphics and colors to make the user experience even more rewarding."

"We upgraded nearly 50 customer sites with MailMeter 4.0 as part of our testing process," states Bob Ralston, VP Customer Support. "We've done a lot of work re-architecting the MailMeter wizards to streamline the initial installation and make upgrading a smoother process. All test sites went in smoothly and customers are very happy with the new features. With the integrated installer, customers can upgrade to new releases of MailMeter with very little effort."

"MailMeter customers get personalized attention on technical support and upgrade assistance," continued Ralston. "We offer Live Chat, e-mail interaction, and telephone help as part of our Total Customer Care process. We want our customers to be delighted with MailMeter."
