Watermeadow Medical Wins Medical Communications Consultancy of the Year Award

OXFORDSHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - July 12, 2010) - Global medical communications company, Watermeadow Medical was named Medical Communications Consultancy of the Year at the Communiqué Awards 2010 in London on Thursday night. This highly contested award is judged by an independent panel of healthcare and communications experts, who assess excellence and innovation in the delivery of medical communications for healthcare clients, along with business strategy, client retention, client satisfaction, financial performance, and staff development.

This is the second year in succession that Watermeadow has won a major agency award at Communiqué, after being named Medical Education Consultancy of the Year in 2009.

The award follows another excellent year for Watermeadow, with a revenue increase >30%, the addition of 17 new staff, and a new office near Manchester, UK.

"We are absolutely delighted to be recognised as the leading medical communications agency in the UK for the second year running. We don't take our success for granted and we will continue to strive to provide the highest quality solutions and service to every client", said Managing Director, Dr Paul Hilditch.

Watermeadow Medical is a specialist communications agency delivering the full range of medical communications for the healthcare industry to meet clients' strategic and tactical needs. Services focus on four areas: science (publication planning and implementation, advocacy development, slide kits), creativity (scientific branding, design, illustrations, video and animations), education (traditional and digital delivery) and events (satellite symposia, stand-alone meetings, advisory boards, roadshows, exhibition activities). Founded in 1997 by Managing Director, Dr Paul Hilditch, Watermeadow is designed to unite and build on industry best practice. The result is an agency built around a strategy of direct client communication made possible by the use of in-house experts (as opposed to freelancers) and by empowering all staff to manage and respond to client needs. Watermeadow now has 56 employees across three offices (Headquarters in Oxford [UK], additional offices in Manchester [UK] and New York [USA]).
