COLUMBUS, OH--(Marketwire - Mar 26, 2013) - Quantum Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Wayne R. Lorgus, MBA, CPA, as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately. Mr. Lorgus had served as interim CFO for the company since February 2012.

As new CFO for Quantum Health, Mr. Lorgus will be responsible for improving organizational financial performance by identifying risks and opportunities through planning analysis; instituting pricing models, performance metrics linked to strategy, and continuous improvement metrics tracking; facilitating transparency and driving the budgeting process; constructing reliable control systems; and encouraging innovation. He will also oversee all banking, auditing and investor relations. Through these efforts, Mr. Lorgus is expected to help position the company financially to meet its growth goals.

Prior to joining Quantum Health, Mr. Lorgus was a partner at B2B CFO®, where he worked with companies to solve challenges in financial management, profit improvement, cash flow, operational improvement, financing growth, and strategic and business planning. He has a deep background in developing and implementing financial controls as part of an operational and strategic approach to business growth. Through timely preparation and analysis of financial, operational, and cash flow data, he has helped companies identify and improve their results, fix problems before they become a crisis, and develop the monthly and yearly routines to achieve their goals.
Mr. Lorgus brings 38 years of extensive finance and operational management experience in high growth situations, working for public and privately-held corporations operating in the U.S. and abroad. In previous positions as CFO for Cordex Pharma Inc., Prestige International, AvidLearn Inc., Unidyne Corporation, and Sandberg & Sikorski Corporation, he successfully drove strategies in business and transaction process optimization, operating and sales performance measurement, and key business indicator reporting in both single-location and multi-site/multi-plant operations. As a business unit manager with Campbell Soup Company, he was responsible for the brand management of multiple product lines. During the early part of his career, he held manager and auditor roles at Arthur Andersen & Co.
Mr. Lorgus earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The College of William and Mary, and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of the USAF Air University and the Gemological Institute of America, and holds CPA certificates in New York and Pennsylvania.
He is credited with several community service awards, including: Volunteer Service Award, President's Council on Service and Civic Participation (2006); Certificate of Excellence, Jefferson Awards for Public Service, American Institute for Public Service (2006); Exceptional Service Award, U.S. Air Force Auxiliary (2005); Meritorious Service Award, U.S. Air Force Auxiliary (2003 and 2006); and Commander's Commendation, U.S. Air Force Auxiliary (2002).
Mr. Lorgus is an avid rower, and a licensed flight instructor. He enjoys flying as a copilot on a Challenger 604 business jet, as well as conducting search and rescue missions for the Delaware Wing, U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, where he is a check pilot, mission pilot, and serves as Wing Finance Officer. He resides in Philadelphia, PA.
