WBTshowcase to Join NineSigma Global Alliance Program

Strategic Partnership to Facilitate Commercialization of University and Lab Based Technologies

CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwire - December 19, 2007) - NineSigma, the leading provider of open innovation solutions, today announced the addition of WBTshowcase to its Innovation Alliance Program, a global network of leading scientists, technologists, and innovators. The annual WBTshowcase, sponsored by NineSigma, exhibits the largest collection of undiscovered technologies emanating from top universities, labs, and research institutions from around the world. This year's showcase will be held from March 26 - 27, 2008, in Arlington, Texas.

"World's Best Technologies was introduced to NineSigma in 2003 through a connection at Procter & Gamble," said Paul Huleatt, CEO of WBTshowcase. "Since then, a number of past applicants to the Showcase were directly referred by NineSigma. As a member of the Affiliate Program, we are now able to 'give back' to NineSigma a meaningful opportunity for universities, labs and researchers interested in commercializing a new technology."

The WBTshowcase was designed to connect the research community with the investment and licensing communities, including seed stage venture capitalists and Fortune 500 licensing scouts. Originally conceived by the Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer and the National Association of Seed and Venture Funds, WBTshowcase facilitates the movement of breakthrough technologies by leveraging industry professionals in a disciplined manor and unbiased environment.

Through its partnership with WBTshowcase, NineSigma has added significant resources to its growing network of solution providers, including researchers, scientists, technology entrepreneurs, federal program managers, and university-based technology transfer professionals. The Showcase provides an additional outlet for NineSigma to disseminate customer Request for Proposals as well as a greater opportunity for Showcase participants to be connected with companies worldwide.

"Affiliate Program members like World's Best Technologies are vital to NineSigma's global innovation network," said Paul Stiros, president and CEO of NineSigma. "We are always on the lookout for key partners who share our vision in creating quality connections between the global enterprises that constitute our client base and the vast research and technology community."

Final submissions for the 2008 WBTshowcase are due December 21, 2007. However, extensions requests may be submitted by email to Amanda Radovic at aradovic@wbtshowcase.com and must be received by Dec. 28 for consideration.
