W.C. & A.N. Miller Uses Crate & Barrel Furnishings to Set the Stage for Life in Its Newly Renovated Sumner Highlands Apartments

WASHINGTON, DC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 30, 2007 -- When W.C. & A. N. Miller Companies reopens its newly renovated Sumner Highlands Apartments on Sangamore Road in Bethesda in May, its model will look like something out of a Crate & Barrel catalog. According to Miller CEO and President Edward J. Miller, Jr., the company chose Crate & Barrel to help it stage the new look for the garden-style apartments because of its furnishings' universal appeal and urban sense of style.

Built in 1953, Sumner Highlands is one of the few remaining garden-style apartment complexes in the Bethesda area. Rents will range from $1,688 for a one bedroom, to $2,350 for a two bedroom apartment home. All units have been upgraded to include individual laundry rooms; hardwood floors; granite countertops, solid maple cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen; and ceramic tile in the bathrooms. All have new energy efficient windows, are wired with Verizon FIOS high-speed internet connection, and basement and first-floor units are pre-wired for security monitoring.

"We have renovated Sumner Highlands to appeal to a wide range of people with a desire to live in a centrally located apartment community small enough to engender a sense of community, with all the amenities of larger apartment complexes," explained Miller.
