WCG Moves to Heart of Austin to Accommodate Growth of Social Media and Interactive Practice

SAN FRANCISCO, CA and AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - September 16, 2010) -  WCG, a company focused on delivering integrated creative, interactive marketing and corporate communications programs for its clients, announced today that it has moved to new offices at 6th and Congress in Austin. The agency joins other emerging business leaders in the heart of this growing and dynamic city, which was recently named number one in the United States for the next decade by Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine.

Led by Chief Technology and Media Officer Bob Pearson, formerly head of communities and conversations at Dell, WCG's Austin office has grown to employ 25 people since starting up in May 2009. It is one of the only diversified communications firms in Austin with expertise in healthcare.

"We are investing in Austin and seeking to hire the best and brightest people in the business to create 'next practice' interactive and social media services and solutions for the growing number of clients requiring this," said CEO Jim Weiss. "We currently conduct listening, analytics and engagement for over 60 brands and an increasing number of Fortune 500 companies. We are evolving proprietary online marketing models that leverage the five key digital areas including social media, web and app development, search, promotion and mobile. We believe these areas represent the centrifugal force of marketing and communications."

WCG's expanding social media and interactive capabilities have led to further diversification beyond its formative client base in healthcare to include work for leading consumer products and technology clients. The practice comprises recognized experts and pioneers in the field led by Paul DyerRaghu Polavarapu, Colin Foster, Matt Snodgrass, Greg Matthews, Bob Blount and Chuck Hemann.
