Web Analytics Association Symposium in Austin, TX to Address the Art and Science of Personalization

WAKEFIELD, MA--(Marketwire - January 11, 2011) - On January 24, the Web Analytics Association (WAA), in conjunction with Dell, will host a symposium and networking event in Austin, TX. Taking place at the Renaissance Austin Hotel, the theme of the event is "The Art and Science of Personalization," and the symposium will address personalization challenges, opportunities and strategies. Attendees of this half-day event will benefit from insightful workshops and sessions, immediately followed by a networking reception with web analytics luminaries and peers.

Jeffrey Eisenberg, best-selling author and industry thought leader, will deliver the keynote at the symposium. His presentation will focus on the technological, organizational and structural limitations holding back even the best practitioners as well as strategies to overcome these challenges. Additional speakers include Adam Greco, senior director of web analytics for Salesforce.com, John Lovett, senior partner at Web Analytics Demystified, and Jim Sterne, founder of the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit. Dell executives, including Emily Campbell, executive director of global online, and Michael Scheschuk, executive director of online personalization, will share with the audience Dell's vision and strategy to change the way that customers interact with Dell.com through testing and targeting technologies. Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of web analytics best practices, tips for turning data into business insights, and strategies for creating a personalized website experience for visitors.

In September 2010, the WAA held their first symposium in Seattle and, with over 250 marketers, web analysts and practitioners in attendance, the event exceeded expectations. "Building upon the success of the Seattle symposium, we expect the Austin symposium to be another lively, productive and educational event where experts can share their knowledge and attendees can gain useful tools and techniques to meet and exceed their marketing goals in 2011," said Peter Sanborn, president of the WAA.

Sponsors of the WAA Symposium include Dell, Adobe, Merkle, Baynote, iPerceptions and Radian6. WAA members can register at a discounted fee of $15, and non-members pay only $50 to attend.
