Web Wise Kids Wins Communicator Award for Interactive Learning Simulation

Interactive Training Program 'It's Your Call' Honored by the 16th Annual Communicator Awards

SANTA ANA, CA--(Marketwire - July 13, 2010) -  Web Wise Kids, the recognized leader in Internet safety education, today announced that it has been selected by the International Academy of the Visual Arts for a Communicator Award. Specifically, Web Wise Kids' interactive simulation game, It's Your Call won the Award of Distinction for the category of Best Interactive Multimedia - Gaming or Gaming Related. The Communicator Awards are presented for projects that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement.

The Communicator Awards winners were selected from more than 9,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards of its kind in the world. The Communicator Awards team conducted a rigorous selection process to finalize the 2010 list.

Web Wise Kids empowers youth and families to make wise choices in their digital lives. They use games to provide simulated experiential learning to create responsible and safe citizens. This generates awareness among kids and parents on how to avoid dangerous, inappropriate, or unlawful online behavior

Web Wise Kids' It's Your Call, is an interactive game created by Will Interactive. The game allows users to play out difficult situations in the safety of cyberspace before they live them out in real life. The game offers teens guidance about responsible cell phone behavior and teaches them how to use technology to enhance their personal safety. In the game, students become a live action character in an interactive movie and are presented with a series of difficult decision in a slice-of-life context. It's Your Call was produced in cooperation with Web Wise Kids and partially funded by grants from Verizon and the ESA Foundation.
