WebNet Converged Wireless Network Announces Corporate Name Change to Reflect Global Deployment Strategy

WebNet Global Communications to Build Broadband Wireless Operations in Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States

ABBOTSFORD, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - April 10, 2007) - WebNet Converge Wireless Network Ltd. (www.webnetglobal.net) announced today that the Company has changed its corporate name to WebNet Global Communications Ltd. to reflect the Company's strategy of building broadband wireless networks in Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States. WebNet Global Communications Ltd. will provide a full portfolio of Internet Protocol (IP) products and services which will be delivered worldwide via its broadband wireless mesh networks.

WebNet Global Communications will be announcing several new divisions in the next several weeks. The Company is based in Abbotsford, British Columbia and is building a nationwide broadband wireless network in Canada. In the United States, the Company has announced new operations that will be based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Company has commenced its build out of wireless network in the United Kingdom and European Union and will, in the near future, announce the opening of these new divisions.

"The demand for our broadband wireless products and services on a worldwide basis has been met with strong demand and our investor relations program continues to build momentum on an international basis," said Gregory C. Carrington, WebNet Global Communications' Chief Executive Officer. "WebNet will be making several news announcements in the next several weeks that will surprise many people. I cannot divulge everything, but the one news item that will be hardest for us to keep under wraps will be our new 3D holographic IP television content, which will be delivered to home 3D entertainment centers via our wireless mesh networks worldwide. Suffice it to say that the technology is simply amazing."

Carrington added, "Once you see the 3dh™ holographic technology (www.3dh.net) and its capabilities, you will probably have trouble sleeping at night, I know I did. The repercussions the technology will have on the gaming and sports broadcasting industries will be nothing short of revolutionary. Yes, I know the media does not like the word "revolutionary", but the first time a reporter watches a football game and actually sees someone tackled on their living room floor, their mind will be changed forever."

WebNet's broadband wireless networks are deployed using leading edge mesh network wireless routers from Hopling Technologies, which utilize multiple radios and can be configured to support one or more of the following frequency bands: 900MHz, 2.4GHz, 3.5GHz, 4.9GHz and/or 5GHz.
