Websense Executives Named by Everything Channel's CRN Magazine as Two of the Top 100 Women in the Channel

Erin Malone and Kristi Houssiere Recognized for Ongoing Channel Leadership and Contributions to Enabling Partner Growth Within Americas

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - September 1, 2009) - Websense, Inc. (NASDAQ: WBSN) today announced Senior Director of Channel Sales Erin Malone and Director of Sales and Channel Programs Kristi Houssiere have been recognized by Everything Channel's CRN magazine as two of the Top 100 Women in the Channel. The Top 100 Women in the Channel were chosen by the editors of the magazine based on their achievements as executives and the amount of influence they wield over the technology channel.

Malone is responsible for the strategic direction and performance of the Websense channel sales teams and channel partner programs. Houssiere is responsible for the origination and execution of the award-winning Websense partner program and enablement resources. Both executives strive to ensure partner profitability and each have more than a decade of experience working within the IT channel.

Over the last year, Malone and Houssiere have played critical roles in the refinement and execution of the new Websense® ChannelConnect™ Global Partner Program, as well as efforts to continuously improve upon the profitability potential of Websense partners and the value of partner program offerings like Deal Registration, Websense Just Rewards, and Websense product evaluations.

"We are thrilled that Everything Channel selected two women from Websense to receive the Top 100 Women in the Channel recognition," says Erin Malone. "Kristi and I are honored to be included in the company of such driven and hard-working female channel executives. Our Websense channel team has accomplished a lot in the past three years, but it's really just the tip of the iceberg. Our commitment to the channel and our partners' profitability runs deep throughout our organization. We are serious about ensuring their success long-term and will continue to drive more value into our ChannelConnect Partner Program and bring to market the right mix of Web, data and email security technologies and enablement resources."

"We are very pleased to see women executives reaching the highest levels in a wide range of dynamic companies. It is with great pleasure that we honor the women that have made a profound impact in the technology marketplace. We offer our congratulations to all of the women included on our list for their significant contributions to our industry," said Robert C.
