Websense Helps YES Satellite Broadcasting Protect Essential Information From Data Loss

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - May 5, 2008) - Websense, Inc. (NASDAQ: WBSN) today announced that YES Satellite Broadcasting company, the sole satellite television provider in Israel with more than 500,000 subscribers, is using Websense® software to discover, monitor and protect the company's sensitive proprietary information such as marketing documents and customers' personal data including credit card numbers.

YES recently deployed the latest version of Websense's data loss prevention software -- Websense Data Security Suite version 6.5 -- to take advantage of enhanced discovery capabilities that allow the company to accurately find and fingerprint both structured data (such as credit card numbers) and unstructured data (such as marketing plans or other intellectual property).

"The discovery capabilities and fingerprinting technology in the latest version of Websense Data Security Suite are very accurate -- automatically searching the content located throughout our organization, identifying and classifying the sensitive information. It also was very easy to configure policies to enforce the appropriate protections on that data," said Shmulik Rotshas, head of Information Security at YES.

Shay Amir, Infrastructure and Operations manager at YES, added, "The Websense Data Security Suite helps us better serve our customers by protecting their personal data, and it enables us to better protect our organization by securing our valuable corporate information."

Websense Data Security Suite meets a burgeoning market demand for accurate data discovery to help organizations easily search and catalogue the massive volumes of data stored throughout their networks. According to IDC, the amount of data stored in organizations has increased so much that the growth of the information protection and control market for data at rest (data that is stored on desktops, laptops, in file/storage servers, USB drives and other types of repositories) is expected to outpace the growth of the market for data in motion (data transferred through messaging traffic such as e-mail) and data in use (data that is used in business documents such as contracts) through 2011(1).

"With its industry-leading data fingerprinting and advanced natural language processing technologies, Websense Data Security Suite is the market's most accurate solution for identifying and classifying both structured and unstructured information," said Leo Cole, vice president of marketing, Websense. "Websense Data Security Suite is helping YES and many other organizations improve business practices and protect their essential information by discovering what sensitive data exists in their organization, where it is located, who is using it and how."
