Websense Teams With Arrow ECS to Generate Greater Demand for Websense® TRITON® Solution

SAN DIEGO, CA and ENGLEWOOD, CO--(Marketwire - February 14, 2011) - Websense (NASDAQ: WBSN) has expanded its distribution agreement with Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions (ECS), a business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc. (NYSE: ARW), to include North America. Arrow ECS has been distributing Websense solutions in Europe since 2001.

"The addition of Websense to the Arrow ECS security portfolio underscores our commitment to delivering best-in-breed security products to enable resellers to address their customers' business needs," said Mike Nowlan, vice president of the security, virtualization and networking practices for Arrow ECS in North America. "We look forward to assisting Websense with increasing its market share within the North American channel and building greater awareness for its TRITON architecture and innovative unified content security solutions."

Arrow ECS now offers the complete portfolio of Websense products in North America, including the Websense TRITON solution, as well as the Websense Web security, email security, and data loss prevention (DLP) product families.

Drawing from the Websense Global Partner Program and new TRITON Solution Technical Enablement Program, Websense and Arrow ECS will educate, train and certify IT security resellers and managed service providers throughout the U.S. and Canada on the Websense TRITON architecture. Through Arrow ECS, resellers will receive security and federal sales support, cross-trained technical consulting and access to Arrow ECS solution demonstration labs, among other services. In addition, resellers will be able to take advantage of the Websense TRITON solution Customer First Initiative, a three-pronged program that includes: enhanced support, training and tools and education to help customers achieve the best security at the lowest total cost of ownership using the Websense TRITON solution.

"Arrow ECS' proven security expertise, federal program and existing relationships with thousands of IT resellers and MSPs selling to the enterprise and midmarket all played into our decision to expand our distribution channels," said Kurt Mills, vice president, worldwide channels, Websense. "By teaming with Arrow ECS, we're able to grow our business faster and engage with a new community of channel partners that are primed to sell the Websense TRITON solution and capitalize on our unique hybrid approach to SaaS (security-as-a-service) and on-premise delivery, which IDC1 recently noted as a key trend in the Web security market."

For more information about becoming a Websense Partner, resellers and MSPs should contact their Arrow ECS sales representative.
