WebTech Wireless' NextBus® Real-Time Passenger Information System Purchased by City of St. Albert, Alberta

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 11, 2011) - WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX:WEW), a leading provider of vehicle fleet location-based services (LBS) and telematics technology, announces that the City of St. Albert, Alberta – an existing InterFleet® customer since 2008 – has chosen WebTech Wireless' NextBus® real-time passenger information system (RTPIS) for the St. Albert Transit (StAT) bus fleet. The implementation is valued at over $90,000, in addition to recurring monthly revenue, which augments current revenue from the InterFleet solution used by the City's public works fleet. StAT will be rolling out NextBus on its routes over the coming months.

"Accurate customer information is vital to any transit system and NextBus technology is one tool we'll use to provide our riders with the best bus arrival information possible. St. Albert Transit is very excited to be working with NextBus on this project," said Bob McDonald, Director of St. Albert Transit.

"We're very pleased that St. Albert has chosen to implement another, and very complimentary, WebTech Wireless solution for its vehicle fleet. It's a testament to the quality of our specialized technologies, and our ability to customize and package them together in an efficient and reliable single-source solution, that sets us apart from our competitors," said Owen Moore, Chief Operating Officer at WebTech Wireless.

The City of St. Albert is located northwest of Edmonton, Alberta, and is an important residential community for people who work in that city. StAT's fleet of 55 buses, operating on 22 routes, provide local service as well as high-volume commuter service to key locations in Edmonton. StAT carries over 1.25 million riders annually.

This latest NextBus sale underscores WebTech Wireless' commitment to meeting the needs of transit agencies of all types and sizes.

About Next Bus®

NextBus (RTPIS) patented technology predicts transit vehicle arrival times in real-time based upon a vehicle's actual GPS location, and provides this information to transit users via electronic digital signs, mobile phones, internet-enabled computers, or NextBus' automated telephone information system, accessible from any phone. Users can also sign up for automatic email or text alerts, sent minutes before their bus, streetcar or train is predicted to arrive – allowing them to be at their stop just-in-time and reduce waiting. NextBus also provides transit authorities with numerous fleet management tools designed to improve operating efficiency, enhance service, and meet government reporting requirements.
