WebTech Wireless® Incorporates Maptuit NaviGo™ on Its New Quadrant® In-Cab Navigation and Fleet Management Device

Solution Gives Trucking Companies a Powerful Tool to Reduce Mileage, Increase Safety and Comply With U.S. DOT Legislation

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 22, 2010) - WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX:WEW), a leading provider of vehicle fleet location-based services (LBS) and telematics technology, and Maptuit Corp., a leading provider of truck-specific, connected navigation for the trucking industry, today signed an agreement to incorporate Maptuit's NaviGo on the Quadrant® In-Cab MDT3100 Mobile Data Terminal, launched earlier this year.

The Quadrant MDT3100 is a state-of-the-art, in-vehicle navigation, dispatch and fleet management device designed specifically for the trucking industry. It incorporates a large, colour touch-screen display, voice command recognition (VCR), text-to-speech, and two-way messaging – all of which allow drivers to navigate and communicate with fleet dispatchers hands-free so that they can continue driving without being distracted by on-screen messages or the need to actuate keys.

Maptuit NaviGo is a real-time, hybrid (a combination of onboard and server-based technologies), in-cab navigation service that provides professional truck drivers and trucking companies with interactive maps and information for increased routing efficiency and improved driver safety and satisfaction. NaviGo truck-specific data is continually updated from a variety of sources, and represents the most accurate route information available to North American trucking companies. Among other things, it can alert drivers to low overpasses or weight restrictions depending on their truck's own characteristics.

"Although in the past Maptuit was best known for its work with the nation's largest long haul fleets, we have always understood that our navigation solution would be of value to anyone concerned with safety and/or mileage reduction. Since the launch of our latest product, NaviGo, we have indeed enjoyed success with fleets from a variety of sectors including private, regional and local delivery. We are especially excited about working with WebTech Wireless, not only for their proven ability to provide high quality solutions, but also because of the breadth of their expertise with a diverse range of fleets," said Luke Wachtel, EVP Sales and Marketing for Maptuit.

"Quadrant In-Cab, paired with Maptuit's NaviGo, reinforces our commitment to support the demands of our trucking customers with products specifically designed to meet their needs. The combined solution provides our transportation customers with an advanced in-vehicle navigation and fleet management tool that increases driver productivity and safety, as well as meeting legislation for electronic on-board recorder (EOBR) devices and hours of service (HOS) compliance," said Harald Fritz, WebTech Wireless' VP Quadrant Sales, Government and Transport.

This latest collaboration with industry leaders underscores WebTech Wireless' commitment to the development of leading-edge fleet management technology for the transportation sector.
