Webtrends Names Xavier Le Hericy as Chief Security Officer

Webtrends Adds C-Suite Role to Bolster Commitment to Security Best Practices and Client Data Protection

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwired - Apr 15, 2015) - Webtrends, a leading provider of digital marketing solutions, today announced the appointment of Xavier Le Héricy to the newly created role of Chief Security Officer and Vice President of Security and Privacy.

Bringing more than 17 years of experience at Webtrends, and as the company's former Director of Security and Privacy, Le Héricy joins the C-Suite team to lead efforts toward a consistent approach to client data protection. In this role, he will rely on the expertise gained in developing the company's current data protection program and oversee initiatives that ensure Webtrends remains at the forefront of industry best practices to mitigate risks related to security and privacy.

"Data protection has always been a top priority for Webtrends, and as of late, the industry has seen a steady increase in security breaches and growing involvement from data protection regulators, most notably in Europe," said Xavier Le Héricy, who obtained his Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification in 2011. "We knew we needed to go the extra mile to reassure customers we have our finger on the pulse of the issue and are actively committed to making whatever investment necessary for data safety."

"Everyone agreed that Xavier was the best person for the job as he has already played an instrumental role in driving company-wide security initiatives, such as, our recent SOC 3 report," said Joe Davis, CEO at Webtrends. "Combine that with his passion for security best practices and expertise in enterprise SaaS and it's easy to recognize he's ideally suited for the role."

Customer data protection is a long-standing priority at Webtrends, particularly for clients within the financial and healthcare industries where top-notch security processes are crucial. The company is constantly updating security initiatives to ensure that clients feel confident about the processes and tools in place to protect confidential information.

Previous roles Le Héricy held at Webtrends include Director of Application & SaaS Security and Director of Program Management.
