Wedding of Lawn Mower Racers to Highlight the Season

NORTHBROOK, IL--(Marketwired - Apr 1, 2015) - The U.S. Lawn Mower Racing Association (USLMRA) marks its 23rd birthday, today, on April Fool's Day and is excited to announce venues for the 2015 STA-BIL^® National Lawn Mower Racing Series. Stops this year will include the Charlotte Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway and a Wedding Day Mow Down Show Down where two of the nation's top sold slingers will tie the knot on the lawn mower racing track.

"Love is in the air, and we have a great season in store," said Bruce Kaufman, "Mr. Mow It All," USLMRA president. "We're returning to Charlotte Motor Speedway and Atlanta Motor Speedway and will host the wedding of racers Ivy Coy and Alex Stella on May 31 on the track, during a race in Michigan. It will be love to mow, mow to love -- and that's no April Fool's joke!"

Founded on April 1, 1992 the USLMRA sanctions and presents organized lawn mower racing across America including the 23-race STA-BIL Lawn and Garden Mower Racing Series and a network of 50 Local Chapters and Affiliated Clubs, hosting more than 250 sanctioned races nationwide every year. STA-BIL lawn mower racers compete in 11 classes with all cutting blades removed for trophies, points and bragging rights.

Founded in 2009, the USLMRA National Lawn Mower Racing Hall of Fame is a place of honor for Turf Titans who have turned a weekend chore into a competitive sport.
