Wedge Energy International Inc.: Drilling Starts in Montana

ORLEANS, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - April 5, 2007) - Wedge Energy International Inc. ("Wedge") announced today that the first well has spudded in a four well drilling program in Montana. Wedge, in partnership with Neo Exploration Inc., will pay 2/3 of the costs for drilling 4 wells and shooting seismic and receive a 50% interest in each of the 4 wells and earn 50% in 16 sections. The project, costing Wedge $1.2 million, will explore the Greybull channel sands at a depth of 2940 ft. with the first test followed immediately by tests of the Tensleep sands in wells #2 and well #3 at 3600 ft and 4300 ft. Neo and Wedge expect to soon begin shooting seismic over an additional structure to define the location for well #4 which should spud in August.

DRILLING HIATUS AT THREE-HILLS

Wedge also announced today that the Three-Hills well (DRL EtAl ThreeHCr 6-2-34-25-W4) which Wedge is drilling with Vermillion Energy and Driftwood Resources (operator) that spudded on March 7, 2007 had to stop drilling on March 10 due to several days of spring like weather that resulted in Spring Road Bans in the area. The delays, including those caused by rig availability, will probably last until the end of April. Wedge is paying 50% to earn 50% before pay out and 31.25% after pay out.
