SARASOTA, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 10, 2006 -- eLocity's stocks to watch for today are -- Oak Ridge Micro-Energy, Inc. (OTC BB: OKME), Systems Evolution, Inc. (OTC BB: SEVI), Universal Property Development and Acquisition Corporation (OTC BB: UPDA), The Jackson Rivers Company, Inc. (OTC BB: JKRI).

Investors, have a look at Oak Ridge Micro-Energy, Inc. (OT CBB: OKME), a company that designs and produces thin film, solid-state batteries for commercial, consumer, industrial, homeland security, government and medical applications. As electronic devices continue to shrink in size, traditional size batteries have failed to keep pace. Oak Ridge Micro-Energy believes it has an answer. Tuesday, after the closing bell, the company announced that an Oak Ridge Micro-Energy thin film battery is in production at the company's facility in Oak Ridge, Tenn.

Oak Ridge said the thin film components of its battery total less than six micrometers thick and can be applied directly to wafers or integrated circuit packages, and can withstand the pressures and temperatures of tire manufacturing and the high temperatures required in new, environmentally mandated, lead-free semiconductor processing. This thin film battery, readily scalable to fit the smallest of applications, can be made in any shape or size and can be permanently embedded into a system that will last for years.

The Oak Ridge Micro-Energy thin film battery is a solid-state device, so it does not use a liquid or polymer electrolyte like other conventional lithium or lithium-ion thin batteries, thus allowing the battery to withstand temperatures over 265 degrees Celsius in a discharged state. The battery can also fully recover from long storage in a fully discharged state and can withstand extreme hydrostatic pressure and G forces, the company said.

This thin film battery can be easily engineered to fit a wide range of microelectronic products, Oak Ridge said, and there are many wide ranging applications for the batteries including: embedding tire sensors to measure and store tire pressure and number of rotations, miniature medical devices that can be implanted non-invasively deep inside the human body, powering non-volatile computer memory, and active radio frequency identification (RFID) tags. In the future, the company said that additional products will be developed designed to take advantage of the thin film battery's small size and outstanding performance as the company continues to develop and improve their product. In September, Oak Ridge Micro-Energy announced a successful first manufacturing run of thin film lithium-ion batteries with better than expected yields.

Shares of Oak Ridge Micro-Energy (OTC BB: OKME) are currently trading at around 23 cents.
