WellCare's Heather Linn Named a Finalist for 2016 Learning In Practice Award

KANSAS CITY, KS and TAMPA, FL--(Marketwired - September 15, 2016) - Congratulations to Heather Linn, senior manager of organizational and talent development at WellCare Health Plans, Inc., on being named a finalist for the 2016 Learning In Practice award from Chief Learning Officer magazine. The Learning In Practice awards were established in 2003 to recognize learning leaders who have demonstrated excellence in the design and delivery of employee development programs.

Linn was nominated by CD2 Learning and is a finalist for the Technology Award. The Technology Award honors learning executives who have delivered new and unique applications of emerging technology to employee learning and development.

"Leadership development is a top priority at WellCare. To support it, we put experienced and passionate leaders in place; enable and encourage our associates to dedicate time to it; and invest in tools like CD2's programs," said Sara Vélez, WellCare's senior director of organizational and talent development. "We are honored that Heather has been recognized for successfully executing the CD2 program, which enriches the associate experience and helps us deliver on our mission to serve the underserved."

"We nominated Heather, not only for the tremendous results she achieved, but for her ability to continually evolve WellCare's program to perpetuate interest, participation and success," said Becky Sterling, president of CD2 Learning. "As WellCare's technology provider, we've partnered to create a flexible program that works to meet WellCare's needs and goals."

"I'm honored to be nominated for this year's technology award, and I look forward to continuing our good work toward making WellCare stronger one leader at a time," said Linn.

Finalists will be honored during an awards dinner on Tuesday, September 27 at the Fall CLO Symposium Plus in Scottsdale, Arizona.
