HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL--(Marketwired - Aug 23, 2016) - Wellness Center USA, Inc. (OTCQB: WCUI), today announced that it has moved its headquarters to a new location in Hoffman Estates, IL together with its wholly owned subsidiary, National Pain Centers, Inc. (NPC). The new facility will provide multiple treatment options for patients with painful conditions, including phototherapy treatments to patients suffering from psoriasis, eczema, vitiligo and more, with its newly deployed Psoria Light (PL 1000), an innovative medical device developed by WCUI's medical device subsidiary, Psoria-Shield, Inc. (PSI).
The new office, located at 2500 W. Higgins Rd., Hoffman Estates, IL 60169 (suites 780 and 750), will be the main headquarters for both WCUI and NPC, and boasts ample working space of approximately 11,000 square feet to facilitate the two adjoining business centers under one roof.
NPC now has the space to expand their nationally recognized comprehensive and multimodal pain management services, including treatment of painful sensory and emotional conditions, such as psoriasis, eczema, vitiligo and more, with the PL 1000. Equipped with such an advanced medical device and other capabilities in the brand new facility, NPC will have the capacity to conduct thousands of treatments to patients in the Chicagoland area suffering from various ailments.
NPC is planning on managing the increased patient volume via employing additional practitioners and/or subleasing office space to other third party medical providers that share the same philosophy of care and operate with the highest standards of skill and ethics. Further, from an economic standpoint, operating from one consolidated location allows WCUI and NPC the opportunity to conduct joint advertising and marketing, as well as network with other healthcare providers and hospitals in the area to create greater exposure and use of the PL 1000.
"Having successfully treated several patients with the PL 1000 at the former location in Hoffman Estates, I am looking forward to furthering that success at the new clinic where we can help thousands of patients who are suffering by offering them safer and more effective options and treatments," stated Dr. Jay Joshi, founder and CEO of NPC. "We've routinely seen patients from all over Illinois and the U.S. who have been to 'top' universities, hospitals, and physicians, and found success and happiness with our care. I predict the same positive outcomes with the PL 1000. There is no permanent cure for psoriasis and other related skin ailments and several new prescription medications can increase the risk of cancer, TB, liver failure, and even death. Patients continue to suffer at a substantial financial cost to the patient, the insurance company, and society. The PL 1000 offers an effective solution that is responsible from a financial and safety perspective," Dr. Joshi, a nationally recognized, double board certified, Anesthesiologist and Interventional Pain Management expert continued.
With August being designated as the National Psoriasis month, a number of articles on the subject disease have been published during the month providing pertinent information on psoriasis. One such recent article published by Pain Medicine News can be found at: http://www.painmedicinenews.com/Clinical-Pain-Medicine/Article/08-16/ISMP-Report-Links-Psoriasis-Drugs-and-Cancer/37459/
"Our vision for our organization continues to grow on the functions that we can now encompass given the new capabilities provided to us by our new facility, including investor conferences, product demos, additional staffing, a joint marketing and advertising campaign, etc.," added Andrew Kandalepas, CEO of WCUI.
In addition to the new Hoffman Estates location, NPC will continue to operate at its Vernon Hills office and surgery center, where pioneering procedures are being performed. Dr. Joshi will continue providing interventional spine and pain management procedures along with "disease modifying" options such as ketamine infusions and autologous fat derived stem cell deployments. Ketamine infusions can help reverse the pathologic process of central sensitization (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), Fibromyalgia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Anxiety, Depression, and more. The ketamine infusion program is one of the largest and most successful in the Midwest. Autologous (from the patient's own body) fat derived stem cells have been used successfully for a variety of conditions as well. Dr. Joshi was the first interventional pain physician in the network to deploy autologous fat derived stem cells and continues to be the only Interventional Pain Physician in Illinois offering this advanced procedure.
