Wellness International Supports Autism Speaks by Hosting a World Record Attempt With International Distributors

PLANO, TX--(Marketwired - Oct 14, 2013) - To most people the thought of completing a few pull-ups seems daunting, however imagine doing more than 59 pull-ups in one minute. That is exactly what two of Wellness International Network's distributors are attempting to do during The Matchup, scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on October 24, 2013 at the company's global headquarters (5800 Democracy Drive, Plano TX 75024).

Mark Jordan of Corpus Christi, Texas is gearing up for his second attempt at breaking the World Record for most pull-ups completed by a male in one minute. At 53, Jordan became interested in fitness and body-building later in life and has enjoyed maintaining his physical fitness with Wellness International Network's complete nutritional line of dietary supplements. "These products are making such a difference in my life. So much that I can truly say I am doing and feeling much better than I ever did in my 40s and to some extent in my 30s. It's never too late to start getting healthier," Jordan says. Fitness guru and personal trainer, Naomi Rinsampessy of the Netherlands has raised the bar, challenging Jordan in this competition. While the women's World Record is 39 pull-ups, Rinsampessy has her sights set at beating Jordan in this friendly competition. Rinsampessy has had plenty of success competing against others, she is the National 2X BeNeLux and World Champion Miss Fitness in Aerobics, and also enjoys the edge she receives from Wellness International Network's product line. "Using WIN's products my strength and endurance increased. I recover faster, sleep better and feel more energetic and focused during the day," shares Rinsampessy.

Wellness International Network is hosting the World Record attempt to kick off the company's 21st WorldGala -- where hundreds of distributors will arrive in North Dallas from around the world. Wellness International Network planned The Matchup, which is open to the public, to help raise money and awareness for the worthy organization, Autism Speaks. "Cathy and I started Wellness International Network to give people an opportunity to improve their situation and their future," shares Ralph Oats, founder of Wellness International Network. "Giving back to those in need is an important part of who we are and what we encourage of our independent distributors. We are hopeful to help raise awareness and money for Autism Speaks as they support those affected with the disorder and work towards finding a cure." Those wishing to support the event can pledge money per pull up for either Jordan, Rinsampessy or both via this online pledge form. Wellness International Network will also have various items for sale and a general fundraising page to increase the profits for Autism Speaks. Educational material and a representative from Autism Speaks will also be present to raise awareness for this disorder which affects more than two-million individuals in the U.S. and tens of millions worldwide.
