Wells Fargo Names Joe Valerio Managing Director of Its Philadelphia Office

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - August 27, 2007) - Wells Fargo Insurance Services has named Joe Valerio Managing Director of its Philadelphia, PA office. Valerio will be responsible for the office's growth and expansion.

Before joining Wells Fargo, Valerio was with Willis North America where he was in a service leadership and management role in the Northeast region. In this role he was responsible for the development and implementation of a nationally consistent service platform that integrated sales, client service, and marketing. During his tenure with Willis, Valerio oversaw all operational aspects for the Northeast region's nine offices in the New England, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. areas.

Valerio earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. At Penn, he was an All-Ivy League and All American football player, as well as captain of the team his senior year. Prior to joining the insurance industry, Valerio spent six seasons as a player in the National Football League for the Kansas City Chiefs.
