WePay Honored as Gold Stevie® Award Winner in 2013 American Business Awards(SM)

Winning for Outstanding Customer Service, WePay Shows Love for Its Customers

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 18, 2013) - WePay, the surprisingly simple way for small businesses to accept credit cards, was presented with a Gold Stevie® Award in the Customer Service Department of the Year category in The 11th Annual American Business Awards in Chicago last night.

WePay prides itself on offering the best support in the payments industry by providing a live customer service team in California, available to all WePay users. WePay's easy-to-use online payment tools for small businesses include a mobile application, online invoices, on-site checkout buttons, virtual terminal for processing credit cards, as well as an application programming interface (API) for partners. WePay's Veda fraud engine uses social data to assess risk and enables customers to begin processing credit cards in under a minute.

"WePay is honored to win an Outstanding Customer Service Stevie Award," said Bill Clerico, CEO of WePay. "Providing awesome service and products for small businesses and partners is a core part of our values and central to what every WePay employee does each day. However, it is still really great to be recognized at this level for our work."

More than 3,200 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, and winners were selected by more than 320 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process this year.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for "crowned," the trophies were presented to honorees during a gala banquet on Monday, June 17 at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel. More than 500 nominees and their guests attended.

"This year's American Business Awards was outsized in every way," said Michael Gallagher, Stevie Awards founder and president. "More entries and more judges than ever before, and I'd have to say the most impressive collection of nominations we've ever received. We congratulate all of this year's Stevie winners for their outstanding work."
