West Melville Metals Appoints Blair Lockhart as Corporate Secretary


VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 2, 2012) - West Melville Metals Inc. (TSX VENTURE:WMM) ("West Melville" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Blair Lockhart as Corporate Secretary of the Company. As Corporate Secretary, Ms. Lockhart will be responsible for legal and regulatory compliance activities, equity financings, joint ventures and general corporate/commercial work. Ms. Lockhart also serves as General Counsel to the Aurora Resource Group of which West Melville is a member company.

Ms. Lockhart graduated with a law degree from the University of British Columbia before completing her LLM in the field of international environmental law at the University of London, England. She has been practicing law since 1991, working first as a Crown Prosecutor with the Ministry of the Attorney General's office before transitioning into securities law in the mineral exploration and mining industry in 2002. Ms. Lockhart is also a geologist, with a BSc (Hons) from the University of Manitoba and MSc from the University of Alberta and is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries.
