West Valley Christian School Raises Over $1,400 to Support Children With Cancer in Honor of Two Students Fighting Their Own Battle

CHERRY HILL, NJ--(Marketwired - October 10, 2013) - On Friday, September 27th, West Valley Christian School in Litchfield Park, AZ participated in Go4theGoal's 3rd Annual National Dress 4 Pediatric Cancer Day. During this event, the students of this small school raised $1,434 to provide support for local children with cancer.

This event was particularly meaningful to the students because two of their own are battling cancer. Aaron R. has Ewing's Sarcoma and another student has recently been diagnosed with neuroblastoma. "I am so glad that kids at my school and employees helped raise money for other kids with cancer," said Aaron.

Schools and businesses across the country participated in this year's National Dress 4 Pediatric Cancer Day. "We're thrilled to see how this event has grown over the past three years," said Beth Stefanacci, Founding Director of Go4theGoal, "and we are grateful for children like Aaron, who when faced with their own battle, choose to inspire others to make a difference."
