West Virginia's Bello Vista Sells at J. P. King Real Estate Auction for $1.65 Million

HENDERSON, WV--(Marketwire - May 19, 2011) - At a real estate auction on Saturday in Henderson, W.Va., the 17,000 square-foot Bello Vista Estate sold for $1.65 million through J. P. King Auction Company, the nation's premier real estate auction marketing firm.

The home's new owner, William Baker, was also a registered bidder at the Kluge Winery and Vineyard, which J. P. King sold last month in Charlottesville, W. Va., for $8.07 million.

"This [Bello Vista] estate presented a great opportunity to buy a well-known, established home with a great history," Baker said. "It has beautiful architecture and was well-built with high-quality materials."

The auction event, which attracted 15 registered bidders from Ohio and West Virginia, took place at the estate, built by Captain Robert Bosworth in 1968. The home includes five bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, a heated pool, elevator, wine cellar, commercial kitchen and an owner's kitchen, all in a Mediterranean-style architecture.

The Bello Vista Estate features a view of the Ohio River and sits at the highest point in Point Pleasant, creating a local legend that embodies the nautical influence of the town's own legendary riverboat captain.

J. P. King Auction Company specializes in high-value properties and portfolios such as luxury homes, developments, condominiums and land and ranches. The company has marketed properties in all 50 states and six countries with upcoming events in Oklahoma, Colorado, Alabama and Montana.
