BERKLEY, MI--(Marketwire - June 15, 2009) - Westborn Market is joining efforts with Michigan-based Bareman Dairy and the nationwide Milk Mustache "got milk? Drink Well. Live Well. Tour." to help consumers learn about the benefits of drinking milk as part of their everyday eating habits. Westborn Market's Berkley store at 27659 Woodward Avenue will host the Tour, which is currently visiting 75 cities throughout the U.S., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2009.

"Along with offering our customers fresh, quality food products, we have the opportunity to help people learn about the nutritional benefits of healthy eating and, in this case, drinking milk," said Mark Anusbigian, president of the family-owned gourmet grocer. "We are pleased to be one of the tour stops that offer the public an opportunity to sample local dairy products, ask questions and get a 'milk mustache.'"

The "Drink Well. Live Well." event at Westborn Market will include a special Wellness Area with free chair massages, blood pressure check-ups, and health screenings with a registered dietician as well as tips on living a healthier lifestyle. There will also be an opportunity to sample free low fat vanilla smoothies and receive a free digital photo of your best milk mustache. With every purchase of two gallons of milk during the event, customers will also receive a free "got milk?" t-shirt and a reusable grocery bag.

"This is a fun event for all ages and a great way to emphasize the importance of drinking milk as part of leading a healthy lifestyle," added Anusbigian.
