Western Lakota Recognized for Leadership in Aboriginal Relations

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 24, 2005) - Western Lakota Energy Services Inc.
(TSX VENTURE:WLE), is pleased to announce that the company has received the Alberta
Business Award of Distinction for Aboriginal Relations. The Indian and Northern Affairs
Canada (INAC)/Aboriginal Workforce Participation Initiative (AWPI) Aboriginal Relations
- Best Practice Award of Distinction was awarded at the annual Alberta Chamber of
Commerce awards dinner held in Edmonton, Alberta on February 23, 2005.
