Western Pacific Trust Company: Private Placement

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - March 24, 2006) - WESTERN PACIFIC TRUST COMPANY ("WP") (TSX VENTURE:WP) announces that, subject to acceptance of the TSX Venture Exchange, it has completed a private placement of $1,035,000 through the sale of Units in the capital of the Company at a price of $0.44 per Unit.

Each Unit will consist of one common share and one-half of one non-transferable share purchase warrant (the "Warrant"). Each Warrant will entitle the holder thereof to purchase one additional common share of the Company for a period of one year from closing at a price of $0.75 per share, or during the second year from closing at a price of $1.50 per share.
