WestHost Introduces New Line of Dedicated Servers Offering Improved Performance and Price

The Global Leader in Web Hosting Solutions Revamps Its Entire Line of Dedicated Servers, Offering Greater Power at a Lower Price

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - October 22, 2010) - WestHost, a global leader of web hosting solutions, has introduced a new line of more powerful dedicated servers. The newer, higher quality servers will provide clients with greater processing power, while being offered at a more affordable price than their competitors.

"WestHost is dedicated to delivering innovation and value," says Jake Neeley, Brand Manager of WestHost. "Recent growth and solid vendor relationships have afforded us the opportunity to offer our clients greater performance and reliability at a lower price."

The new line of servers includes the Intel Quad Xeon X3440, Quad Xeon E5620, and the Dual Quad Xeon E5620. The Quad Xeon 3440 is an economical server that works well for small businesses, while the Intel Xeon E5620 series features more robust performance, combining industry-leading energy efficiency with intelligent performance. WestHost will keep the Intel Atom D510 server, but will now offer it at the lower price of $95.00 / month.

The newly offered managed dedicated servers will also feature Ksplice, an application that allows important kernel security updates from CentOs/Red Hat Linux, to be performed without having to reboot the server. This means increased uptimes and faster security updates. Ksplice will come free with the full management option.

The improvements to the dedicated servers are part of the many upgrades that WestHost has made to their services in the last few months. Their recent website relaunch saw improvements to their shared hosting and cloud hosting, while lowering prices on existing hosting plans. This is all part of WestHost's ongoing mission to provide the most powerful and secure Web hosting environment in the world at the most affordable prices.
