WestJet Guests Will Watch the Big Game in the Air

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 3, 2006) - On Sunday, February 5 at 6:00 p.m. EST, thousands of football fans will watch Pittsburgh battle Seattle from seats very high above the action - 34,000 feet above to be exact.

WestJet, the only airline in Canada offering complimentary seatback television, will air the Big Game on more than 93% of the Boeing Next-Generation aircraft in its fleet.

Bob Cummings, WestJet's Vice-President of Marketing, said today, "This Sunday WestJet is tackling the challenge of hosting the highest football party in Canada. We know we'll score big points with our free soft drinks and complimentary snacks. However, guests desiring more traditional fare such as wings and ribs are asked to bring their own (and enough to share). We believe our complimentary seatback television is sure to convert many guests into loyal WestJet fliers. It'll be a unique experience, from take-off to touchdown."

WestJet is Canada's leading low-fare airline offering scheduled service throughout its 34-city North American network. Named Canada's most respected corporation for customer service in 2005, WestJet pioneered low-cost high-value flying in Canada. With increased legroom and leather seats on its modern fleet of Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft, and live seatback television provided by Bell ExpressVu on the majority of its fleet, WestJet strives to be the number one choice for travellers.
