WestJet Kicks Off the Summer With $19 Flights

Two-day seat sale for eastern triangle

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - July 2, 2008) - WestJet (TSX:WJA) today announced a two-day $19 seat sale for travel within the eastern triangle. Guests travelling between Montreal and Toronto and between Ottawa and Toronto can take advantage of the $19 fare by booking on July 2 and 3, 2008, for travel until September 30.

"The summer is a great time of year to visit with friends and family," said Bob Cummings, WestJet Executive Vice-President of Guest Experience and Marketing. "We find that many of our guests enjoy travelling during July, August and September, and this fare is our way of thanking them for their loyalty. We also hope that this price will encourage people who haven't flown WestJet before to give us a try."

Cummings also noted that with rising gasoline prices, some families planning road trips this summer are now looking at other options. "Certainly with a $19 fare, plus the travel time you'll save, it may be easier to fly rather than drive," he said.

All fares are available online at westjet.com, by calling WestJet at 1-800-538-5696 or through a travel agent.

The small print: Seats at this fare are limited. New bookings only. 100 per cent non-refundable. Offer combinable with other fares. All fares shown are one-way. No advance purchase required. Applicable taxes, fees and fuel surcharge are extra. Visit westjet.com for more information.

$19 fare - This offer is only available for purchase on Wednesday, July 2, and Thursday, July 3, 2008, for travel until September 30, 2008, in both directions between Montreal and Toronto and between Ottawa and Toronto. Seats at this fare are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
