Westlake Chiropractic Center Launches New Patient Website

WESTLAKE, OH--(Marketwire - Dec 14, 2011) - Advanced Spinal Rehab & Wellness Center announced that the practice has launched a new website to enhance patient communications. Prospective patients can learn more about wellness care and non-invasive pain management in the new "Community Content" library, which includes information about adjustment treatments, physical therapy and massage. The website also features a 3D Spine Simulator, blog, patient success stories and e-newsletter. The wellness center provides care for accident injuries, chronic pain like arthritis, workers' compensation and personal injury.

Westlake chiropractor Dr. Michael Darr announced the launch of his practice's new website, The site is designed to improve communication with patients and expand access to wellness resources.

"After careful design and consideration, I'm thrilled to announce the launch of our new website," said Dr. Darr. "The new, user-friendly site naturally complements our mission to empower patients -- giving everyone access to critical wellness and pain management information. Many people are unfamiliar with the benefits of chiropractic care, and this website is designed to change that!"

Dr. Darr emphasized the importance of the website's new "Community Content" library, which contains articles explaining the science behind spinal adjustments and musculoskeletal pain.

"An accident injury can cause the body to become misaligned," said Dr. Darr. "This can lead to chronic pain, illness and fatigue. The 'Community Content' library does a great job of explaining how a misalignment affects the body -- and how chiropractic adjustments, physical therapy and massage therapy can restore alignment and manage pain."

The website also features a 3D Spine Simulator, and interactive resource that allows patients to see exactly how an injury to one disc in the spine affects the body. For example, the Spine Simulator shows how a herniated disc in the lower back can compress nearby nerves, leading to a condition known as sciatica.

"The 3D Simulator is an important visual tool so patients can understand exactly what is happening in their bodies," said Dr. Darr. "Being able to visualize the underlying cause for pain helps patients better understand our whole body approach to treatment."

In addition to adjustments such as spinal decompression, the practice also offers Westlake massage and physical therapy. The website's "Success Stories" includes patient testimonials about how the practice's comprehensive treatments help manage headache, back pain, arthritis, stiffness and soreness in the body. Additionally, under the "New Patient Center," prospective patients can learn about the various types of payments and insurance plans the Center accepts. According to the website, the Center accepts a range of private insurances, workers' compensation, Medicare, HSA health funds, various types of credit cards, cash, and is willing to discuss payment programs.

Individuals who would like to learn more about long-term pain management and wellness care can sign up for the practice's bi-weekly e-newsletter.

"Wellness goes beyond pain management, and extends to all aspects of our lives," said Dr. Darr. "The e-newsletter is a filled with tips to helpful patients stay mindful of wellness in all aspects of their lives. I also encourage patients to stay up to date on the latest wellness developments by visiting our new blog."
