Westminster Savings Offers $16,000 Through Youth in Action Awards

NEW WESTMINSTER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 31, 2005) - Westminster
Savings Credit Union is offering a total of $16,000 in scholarships through its
Youth in Action Awards program. Eight $2,000 awards will be offered to
graduating high school students in the TriCities, Ridge Meadows, New
Westminster, and Surrey/White Rock.

Criteria for the awards includes involvement in extra-curricular volunteer
activities (including a demonstrated commitment during the student's senior
year), and a high level of academic achievement. The awards program reflects
Westminster Savings' ongoing commitment to community development.

The deadline for Youth in Action Award submissions is April 4, 2005, and the
winners will be announced at their respective graduating ceremonies. Youth in
