We've Got Your Back Race for Spinal Health Raises Over $100,000 for Spinal Research Foundation

Sixth Annual Event Held on May 18th in Reston, Virginia Draws Over 1,000 Participants and Raises Awareness of Life-Changing Spinal Health Research, Education, and Patient Advocacy

RESTON, VA--(Marketwired - June 04, 2013) -  The Spinal Research Foundation's (a national 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization) We've Got Your Back Race for Spinal Health, a national race series, was held for the sixth year in Reston, Virginia, hosted by Virginia Spine Institute. This venue attracted a record-setting 963 registrants and raised $100,000 for the Spinal Research Foundation (SRF).

"SRF is a patient centered organization identifying the best treatments for spinal conditions," Thomas C. Schuler, M.D., F.A.C.S, founder and president of SRF. "Our national research network is rapidly expanding from coast to coast with Regional Research Partners hosting 5K events in their cities. The vision for this national race series is to raise awareness of modern spinal treatments, inspire individuals to establish goals to improve their health, and to raise funds for further research."

Washington Redskins players Reed Doughty, Roy Helu, and former Redskin, Lorenzo Alexander, served as honorary chairs and gave powerful testaments to the value of effective spinal treatment.

The next We've Got Your Back Race for Spinal Health will take place June 15, 2013 in Durango, Colorado.
