When it comes to dating, men love to be chased

Survey conducted by TAG Body Spray reveals teen males love it when women make the first move Attention: Arts/Entertainment Editor, City Editor, Lifestyle Editor, Photo Editor, Sports Editor MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 25, 2005) - EDITOR'S NOTE: Picture to accompany this release will be available after 8 p.m. today (Friday, March 25) on the CP Picture Service from The Canadian Press.

Canadian teen males prefer women who take an active role in initiating a date, a conversation or the first move, according to a new study commissioned by TAG Fragrance Company, makers of TAG Body Spray - a new line of body sprays for men, uniquely designed to attract the ladies.

Results of the study reveal that nearly two thirds of teen males surveyed like it when a woman makes the first move. In fact, almost 40 per cent of teen males would like to be chased by the 'girl next door'. 'Best friend's attractive sister' and 'foreign exchange student' were also popular answers (12 per cent and 8 per cent, respectively) when males were asked by whom they would like to be pursued. When asked to name Canadian celebrities they would like to be chased by, actress Elisha Cuthbert, WWE superstar Trish Stratus and singer Avril Lavigne topped the list.

To do its part to help grant Canadian males these wishes, TAG Fragrance Company recently announced the launch of an edgy new line of body sprays for men designed to attract women at an unprecedented rate, whether they look like the girl next door or not. The scientists behind TAG Body Spray are quick to caution that it just might work too well. That's the driving force behind the brand's tagline - "Consider Yourself Warned."

"TAG Body Spray helps guys up their game," said Darren Mahaffy, Marketing Manager, TAG Fragrance Company. "Guys should consider themselves warned...TAG is uniquely designed to attract the ladies...all of the ladies."

Starting this spring, with the help of Trish Stratus, 'TAG Teams' of women will be sent to bars and public places across Canada to find guys who are ready to 'up their game'. Along with the help of female bar patrons, the TAG Teams will invite worthy males to participate in interactive activities and photo opportunities. Designed around key moments in any guy's social life - 'Lucky Day', 'First Move', 'Midnight' and 'After Hours' - TAG Body Spray comes in four scents ranging from a burst of fresh citrus to a warm, tempting blend of amber, cedar wood and musk.

Packaged in a brushed gunmetal aluminum can, TAG's look reflects a cool, masculine personality. Compact-sized and topped with a self-locking cap, TAG offers the ultimate in safe transport from the locker room to the bedroom - and anywhere in between.

TAG is now sold at food, drug and mass merchandise stores across Canada for a suggested retail price of $6.99. The new line will be supported by television, radio, online advertising and street sampling beginning in March 2005.

The survey was commissioned by TAG Fragrance Company and conducted by Youthography, an independent, non-partisan survey research firm. The survey was conducted between January 21 and January 26, 2005. Questions were posed to 600 Canadian males aged 15-19. The confidence interval for this sample size is +/- 4.0% 19 times out of 20.

Headquartered in Boston, the TAG Fragrance Company is the newest producer of body sprays.
