2015 Best of the Web Awards Announced


SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwired - September 03, 2015) - e.Republic's Center for Digital Government announces the winners of the 2015 Best of the Web and Digital Government Achievement Awards.

In its 20thyear, the annual Best of the Web (BOW) are the most coveted state and local government awards that recognize city, county and state governments for outstanding portals and websites based on innovation, functionality, productivity and performance.

"These winners are recognized for responsive and mobile-first design, open government, open data, improved transparency and integration with social media," said Todd Sander, executive director of the Center for Digital Government. Presented along with the Best of the Web Awards, the Digital Government Achievement Awards (DGAA) highlight outstanding agency and department websites and apps. These awards by the Center for Digital Government are presented in eight categories. 2015 DGAA winners include New Zealand's website for small businesses, U.S. Department of Transportation's pre-employment screening program for motor carriers, and more than 30 state and local government applications and websites.
