The Macallan Fine Oak 30 Years Old Launches at Food & Wine Classic in Aspen

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 14, 2005 -- The Macallan®, the world's most precious whisky, extended its Fine Oak range of single malt highland Scotch whiskies with the introduction of The Macallan Fine Oak 30 Years Old at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen this past weekend. The addition of this whisky follows the tremendous success of The Macallan Fine Oak 10, 15 and 21 Years Old, which the distillery introduced in November 2004. Since its launch, sales of The Macallan Fine Oak, which is a lighter expression of Scotch whisky, have far exceeded expectations and the whiskies have received numerous industry accolades, spurring the launch of Fine Oak 30 Years Old.

The Macallan Fine Oak family of single malt Scotch whiskies breaks the distillery's 180-year-old tradition maturing new make spirit exclusively in European oak casks that previously held sherry. The secret of The Macallan Fine Oak lies in its maturation in carefully selected European and American oak casks that have previously held sherry or bourbon. The result of this unique cask combination produces a lighter, more stylish, yet modern single malt.

The Macallan Fine Oak 30 Years Old will be available beginning in November 2005, just in time for the holiday season.
