White Bear Announces Appointment of New Director

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 24, 2012) - White Bear Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:WBR) ("White Bear" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Bud Smith, Q.C., as a director of the Company.

Bud Smith currently serves as an officer of Urban Systems Ltd. and Chair of Ridley Terminals Inc. Mr. Smith also serves as a director for the Tulo Centre of Indigenous Economics. Mr. Smith has been a member of the Law Society of British Columbia since May 1975.

Bud Smith served as Principal Secretary to the Premier, and as a Cabinet Minister, for the Province of British Columbia. Mr. Smith is a past director of Canada Post Corporation, BC Development Corporation, Royal British Columbia Museum, Prince Rupert Port Authority, and several other companies and organizations.
