The White House Presents AlliedBarton Security Officer Jack Alexander With the President's Volunteer Service Award

Jack Alexander, who serves as a Security Officer for AlliedBarton in Charlotte, NC, was recognized by The White House last month for his volunteerism in the United States Coast Guard Academy, Marine Environmental Protection, which is one of the eleven missions of the United States Coast Guard, and America's Waterway Watch, which is a combined effort of the Coast Guard and its Reserve and Auxiliary components to grow and enlist the active participation of those who live, work or play around America's waterfront areas.

Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, Alexander enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. prior to graduation from South Mecklenburg High School in 1975. He currently serves as the Flotilla Commander for the Lake Wylie Coast Guard Auxiliary unit where he was awarded the Coast Guard Meritorious Team Medal, Presidential Unit Commendation, Sustain Service Award and other citations. A certified Environmental Protection Officer, Coast Guard Vessel Examiner and Instructor and Communications Officer, Alexander also received training by FEMA as an Incident Commander.
