White River Jct. VA Medical Center Seeks Contractor to Provide Deicing Road Salt

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, VT--(Marketwired - November 23, 2016) - The VA White River Junction Healthcare System issued on November 23, 2016 a presolicitation notice for deicing road salt. The period of performance for this anticipated contract award will be November 27, 2016 through November 26, 2017.

Interested contractors must be able to provide 400 tons of deicing salt with a moisture content of no more than 1 percent, and deliver the road salt to the VA Medical Center, Building 43, where he or she must dump the product into the second bay from the right. The bay size is 13 feet 6 inches wide, and 12 feet 2 inches high. Contractor must use a vehicle capable of dumping a 22-ton load at the door.

After dumping the load of salt, the contractor must stop at building 10 and leave an invoice.

The contractor must conform to all federal, state, and local regulations governing examining and licensing of pest control operators, performance of pest control, use of approved pest control chemicals and equipment, and proper disposal methods for all products/containers, which may be in effect for the area where the work under the contract will be performed.

The contractor must comply with all security policies/requirements of The VA at White River Junction, and the contractor and his or her employees cleared prior to starting work under this contract.

The authority for this action is FAR 13 for open competition with a Small-Business Set-aside, and responses are due by no later than November 30, 2016.
