Who Likes Catering Trucks? Hollywood!

Outdoor Advertising Systems to Publicize Funny Feature

HOLLYWOOD, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 22, 2007 -- "God, Greed, and the American Dream -- A tiny town in New Mexico is turned upside down when the face of Jesus Christ appears upon a tortilla" reads the tag line for the new feature film "Tortilla Heaven." So why not advertise the film somewhere that is "tortilla heaven" for millions each day? Outdoor Advertising Systems is running a 30-day publicity campaign for the movie, from March 1st through April 5th, marking the first time in the history of curbside, work-site dining that a film company has used this medium so specifically. "The ad move is a brilliant one," says OAS CEO Scot C.Taylor. "The movie is set in Mexico and uses A-list Latin actors. OAS campaign success centers around Latin males and females aged 18-45 -- basically the film's demographic audience and their families."

Over 132,000 per day, catering-truckside, will see the ads posted at serving side windows and tails, with over 3.4 million exposed through Daily Effective Circulation (DEC) -- as catering trucks simply make their rounds. This will prove lucrative to not only the "Tortilla Heaven" producers, but to outdoor advertising booking agent, Outdoor Services, Inc. who acted as liaison for the publicity campaign -- a campaign that will surpass billboard placement and other traditional mediums.

"OAS' participating food vendor trucks average 25 stops per day, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to over 1.7 million people per day, and securing 19 million general impressions a day," says Taylor. "We have a staggering inventory of over 6,800 billboards nationwide that provide ample inventory for everyone to use in their media arsenal. Advertisers from Verizon to Nextel to Bank of America have found their niche to reach deep into the Latino working population."

Previously, the OAS client base consisted mostly of finance, telecommunications and food and beverage companies, using four-color, high impact Flexcon signage -- from eye-level 30 inch by 60 inch serving-side and tailgate billboards to billboards to what Taylor calls the "wow-factor" -- 50 foot broadside bus wraps. "A whole new market has opened up to us," says Taylor. "Until now, only companies like Coca Cola, Verizon, Red Bull, Nextel and Bank of America would employ exclusive leases on our lunch trucks to reach the Latin population. Now Hollywood will too."

Written and directed by Judy Hecht Dumontet (Director's Guild Award-winner for most outstanding new Latin filmmaker), "Tortilla Heaven" is based on a true story known widely in the American Southwest.

The stellar cast boasts Lupe Ontiveros ("As Good As It Gets," "Selena"), George Lopez ("George Lopez Show," "Real Women Have Curves"), Olivia Hussey (Zeffirelli's "Romeo & Juliet," "Death On The Nile," "Last Days of Pompeii"), Miguel Sandoval (NBC's "Medium" as well as films "Blow" & "Get Shorty"), Alexis Cruz ("Shark"). Gilbert Dumontet, Senior VP of Sony Pictures, is producer.
