"Who's Who in Black South Florida" Profiles Three Greenberg Traurig Attorneys

MIAMI, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 19, 2007 -- Three attorneys from the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP were selected for inclusion in the inaugural edition of "Who's Who in Black South Florida," an annual directory celebrating the achievements of the community's accomplished and influential African-American citizens.

Michele L. Stocker, Jaret L. Davis, and Glenn A. Harris were selected for the directory's "Most Influential" category. The recently released directory, published by Who's Who Publishing Co., LLC as a resource and networking guide, will retail in area bookstores and newsstands.

Greenberg Traurig has recently been recognized for the diversity of its attorneys. It is the only AmLaw 100 Top 20 firm with a Hispanic or African-American president or CEO and also one of the first top 20 AmLaw firms to have a woman chair its national litigation practice. In 2006, the Minority Law Journal gave the firm a No. 1 ranking for number of minority partners and a No. 4 ranking for number of African-American attorneys.

Stocker is a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig's Fort Lauderdale office and chair of the firm's Financial Services Litigation Group. She represents a wide variety of clients in the financial services industry. She regularly handles matters involving litigation brought by individual consumers and class representatives as well as providing compliance advice with state and federal regulations. In addition, she defends clients in employment-related matters including administrative claims and litigation involving discrimination, wage and hour issues, and non-competition agreements. An "AV rated" attorney by Martindale-Hubbel, Stocker is a member of the American Bar Association as well as the State of Florida Compliance Chair for the American Collectors International's Member Attorney Program. She received her J.D. from Columbia University Law School and her B.A., cum laude, from Princeton University.

Davis, a shareholder in the firm's Miami office, represents corporate clients, both domestically and internationally, with respect to matters concerning mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, financings, securities law compliance, venture capital, joint ventures and various other types of general contractual matters. He has represented clients having an aggregate market capitalization of more than $4 billion. A member of the American Bar Association's Business Law Section, the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce, Wilkie D. Ferguson Bar Association and the Florida Regional Minority Business Council, he is also a member of the Board of Directors of Communities in Schools. Davis received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law and his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Miami.

Harris serves as of counsel in Greenberg Traurig's Miami office. He practices commercial and business litigation, including mediation and arbitration. He represents individuals and companies in a broad variety of business disputes and regulatory investigations. Harris has represented banks, insurers, financial services firms and real estate interests in the state and federal courts. He previously served as Assistant Chief Litigation Counsel at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. and Miami, FL. In addition, he was a trial attorney at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. He is a trustee of the South Florida National Parks Trust and is a member of the Wilkie B. Ferguson, Jr. Bar Association. Harris received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his B.A. from Williams College.
