Widen Summit 2015 Educates & Entertains

Widen Celebrates Enthusiasm for DAM and Marketing Technology With 200 Customers at the Fourth Annual Widen Summit

MADISON, WI--(Marketwired - October 28, 2015) - For the fourth straight year, Widen hosted a gathering of nearly 200 customers in Madison to expand their knowledge of digital asset management, a software technology that organizes digital content. The attendees represented organizations ranging from multi-billion dollar enterprises to small non-profits, but they all have one thing in common: they are part of a Widen community that helps its members capture, organize, share, and analyze marketing content.

Widen CEO Matthew Gonnering kicked off the event by providing attendees with a report on customer and industry activities. He noted that digital asset volume across Widen's customer base has increased 47 percent over the past year. Gonnering then introduced the keynote speaker, Dr. Jonah Berger, a marketing professor at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and author of the New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller, Contagious: Why Things Catch On.

Throughout the Summit, Widen employees conducted smaller group sessions on best practices that can help digital asset management users make the most of their marketing content. Several sessions focused on Widen Insights, a new analytics application that provides intelligence on the performance of digital assets.

Lisa Wright, a photographer and digital asset manager with Treasury Wine Estates, said, "I am always so impressed with the Widen staff and customers at this event. Everyone is genuinely open, willing to share ideas, fix problems and inspire you! Always a worthwhile event."

"Happy customers and engaged employees make this event successful year-after-year. Their kindness, willingness to share, and dedication to Widen makes this an event that is unmatched in our industry," said Gonnering. "When you bring together happy customers and happy employees, it's a party you don't want to leave."

In addition to sessions on digital asset management, Widen offered a variety of entertainment options including laser tag, escape room team building, lakeshore nature preserve walks, and aerial dance from Cycropia.

One attendee, who works in a creative capacity for a Widen customer, shared the following thoughts on the experience: "For Widen to bring together a vast majority of their clients for three days shows their confidence in the product and their team. They are transparent about everything they do to offer the best customer service to their clients. We love Widen!"

The next Widen Summit has been scheduled for September 12-14, 2016 in Madison. Starting in November, visit WidenSummit.com to see the latest lineup of Widen Summit webinars.
