Widen Wins at 2014 Horizon Interactive Awards

Digital Asset Management (DAM) Software Provider Earns Accolades in Five Award Categories


INDIANAPOLIS, IN--(Marketwired - April 28, 2015) - The Horizon Interactive Awards, a leading international interactive media awards competition, has announced the 2014 award winners to highlight this year's "best of the best" in interactive media production. Widen Enterprises earned a total of five awards: two silver awards for Responsive/Mobile Website Design and Viral Video, and three bronze awards for Email Newsletter, Viral Video and Corporate and B2B Web Design.

The Horizon Interactive Awards put the spotlight on some of Widen's newest and most popular marketing initiatives. DigitalAssetManagement.com, Widen's revamped site for DAM education, was honored for its mobile-friendly design. The judges also recognized two of Widen's YouTube videos -- "Here's what a group of kids said about DAM" and "If you were a metadata field, what kind would you be?" Both videos aimed to reduce the complexity of DAM into light-hearted, relatable discussions. The Widen.com website and monthly e-newsletter, too, were judged favorites this year.

The 13th annual, international competition saw over 1200 entries from 27 countries around world including: Australia, Austria, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, Thailand, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and nearly all 50 U.S. states.

An international panel of judges, consisting of industry professionals with diverse backgrounds, as well as an end user panel, evaluated categories ranging from online advertising to mobile applications. The 2014 winning entries showcase the industry's best interactive media solutions including web sites, mobile applications, print media, interactive displays, public exhibits, online advertising, video, email and more.
