Wienermobile Vehicle Brings Cheer to Unhappy St. Louis Fan

Iconic Hot Dog on Wheels Pulls Into Springfield, Mo, Delivering Smiles, Fun and Hot Dogs to Teary Young Boy

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Oct 26, 2012) - The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile vehicle is driving to cheer up America's saddest baseball fan. When the folks at Oscar Mayer saw the online video of a young St. Louis baseball fan crying over his favorite team's loss, they just had to do something about it ( And while Oscar Mayer can't alter baseball destiny, it can spread smiles for miles with its ultimate symbol of fun and good cheer -- the Wienermobile.

This Saturday, the Wienermobile vehicle will take a very special detour from its scheduled route to swing into young Cy's Springfield, Mo, neighborhood and provide him, his family, and friends with a hot-dog party that will no doubt help the baseball fan turn his frown upside down.

"The Wienermobile was created for moments like these," said Ed Roland, Mobile Marketing Manager, Oscar Mayer. "Little Cy needs some cheering up, and we're driving around the country with a giant piece of happiness on four wheels. It's a perfect match."

Wienermobile drivers -- known as Hotdoggers -- will park the iconic automobile for pictures and games, while serving Oscar Mayer hot dogs with all the trimmings, along with refreshments and additional goodies.

"The mission of the Wienermobile is to spread smiles wherever it goes, and it's impossible to watch the video of Cy and not want to give him something to be happy about," said Roland. "Anyone who's ever seen the 27 foot long hot dog on wheels knows that this will be the perfect medicine."
