Wiggle Introduces JCB Payment Option for Japanese Customers

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Dec. 22, 2010) - Wiggle the award winning cycle store is delighted to announce that Japanese shoppers will now be able to use JCB credit cards to pay for products on its new website (www.wiggle.co.uk/jp/). JCB is Japan's leading credit card and is used by more than 50 million people in 190 countries around the world.

Japanese customers are important to Wiggle: more than 10,000 parcels are dispatched to Japan from Wiggle's head office in Portsmouth, UK, each week and these figures are rising rapidly.

Wiggle began shipping to Japan in 2008 and launched its Japanese website in June 2009. More than 15,000 people subscribe to Wiggle's Japanese e-newsletter and website contents and best selling items have been translated in detail over time. A dedicated team of translators and customer service experts work hard to make sure Japanese shoppers are well looked after, communicating via Mixi, Twitter and Facebook as well as Wiggle's fast and friendly customer service and sales email system.

Payment in Japanese Yen has been possible since October this year. Wiggle previously charged customers when their items were dispatched, not when an order was placed, which sometimes meant a difference in price because of fluctuating exchange rates, but this has now been resolved: the price Japanese customers see in Yen at Wiggle's checkout is the price they pay.
