"Wild Card" Mayor Candidate Jon Lord Announces His 12 Step "Bold Decisions for Troubled Times" Platform to Balance the Budget, and Get Calgary Moving Forward Again

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Oct. 15, 2010) - Mayor Candidate Jon Lord's campaign has taken on a sudden burst of life as a result of an International organizations major 94-page Audit of all Mayoral Candidates in Calgary, a report which indicates that Lord would be the best choice for Calgary Mayor overall based on his professional qualifications, background political experience, vision and volunteer commitment to the community.

Lord states that "every Calgarian should see that in-depth 94 page Audit report before they vote on Monday, as this is a critical election for all Calgarians and they should take the time to make sure they are making the best choice for all our futures."

Lord says that he is pleased that the report endorses him as the best qualified candidate for Calgary's Next Mayor but Lord continues that " it's the ideas and platform of what we are going to do going forward that are what actually counts most. Team Lord has clearly developed the most visionary plans of any campaign to balance the budget, cut the waste, find the dollars, and restore Citizen's Trust in Ethics and Integrity at City Hall"

As part of Lord's 12 Step "Bold Decisions for Troubled Times" program Lord vows to take a 40% personal pay cut for a year if Council does not manage to balance the budget within 4 months of taking office with no more than a 4% tax increase. "I call it the 40- 4- 4 guarantee which is why you should vote 4 Lord" Says Lord".

Lord concludes that he is certainly the underdog in this race, but believes if people take even a moment to look at his web page, they will see why he should earn their vote.
